Finds # 1: Chewy Junior

We first came across Chewy Junior about a year ago after having a buffet lunch with my then boyfriend, now husband, and his sister and her husband. Sissy was craving for something sweet and so she bought a box of mini cream puffs from this store. With my love for pastry, I went on and tasted it immediately - no "shy-type" gesture was present. :P

I liked that each bite was really chewy - a testament to its name, and the vanilla filling was just right - not too sweet, not too salty, and not too bland. To top that, the flavours were simple and straight to the point - if it says chocolate, you'll definitely taste chocolate with every bite. And puff, before you know it, you have chowed down a puff already!

My favorite puff would include the Premium Chocolate, Java Chip Cookie, Coffee Cinamon, and Choco Almond Crunch. Apologies for the long list of "favorites" - it's a tad bit hard to pick just one. ;)

It's peso power will not hurt nor kill your wallets and pockets. A single deluxe would cost Php 45.00 and a premium at Php 55.00. More puffs, would cost less. Yey! To add, they recently had a promo via Ensogo, to which I had availed 4 vouchers that entitles me to 4 dozen... YES! That is right, 4 dozens of these cream puffs.

With regards to their store in Mall of Asia, unfortunately their place are suited for those on the go, and are just buying over the counter. I would have loved for it to cater to those who wants to sit down, have coffee and just hang out, but then again they're not a coffee shop.

All in all, I fully recommend this for those who has a sweet tooth just like me. It is not as heavy as cupcakes, not as sweet as cookies, and more flavour than bread.

Assorted box of 6 included in the Ensogo voucher
